WB Production presents: World Bodypainting Festival 2026 Spain – A Historic World Championship in Águilas

After 27 years, Spain proudly hosted its first World Championship of the new format of the World Bodypainting Festival – and WB Production had the honor of organizing this extraordinary milestone event.

On February 7th, 2026, the city of Águilas on the Costa Cálida became the vibrant stage for the World Award: Bodypainting & Show category – the very first World Championship of the year within the new festival series.

The event took place in a stunning theater with 900 seats – completely sold out. Over 2.5 spectacular hours, artists from 11 nations delivered a breathtaking show that combined world-class bodypainting, performance art, and powerful storytelling. Beyond the live audience, the impact was truly global: within just one week, our social media coverage reached more than 1 million people worldwide.

Held during the world-famous Carnaval de Águilas, this year’s competition embraced the captivating theme: “Circus – Balancing Fantasy and Reality.”

Artists explored the delicate line between illusion and authenticity, magic and emotion, spectacle and subtlety. From dramatic, acrobatic-inspired creations to poetic interpretations of circus characters, the stage transformed into a living gallery of imagination. Each performance blended technical precision in bodypainting with dynamic stage presence, making the show category one of the highlights of the carnival celebrations.
